Mulin Appartements, our holiday home in Vals, was largely built with local materials and by local craftsmen. Sustainability and ethics are important topics for us. And they are not just simple tags, but an integral part of our identity. This is reflected in every single one of our holiday apartments in Vals.
You won’t find materials such as leather or loden with us. As vegan as possible was one of our goals. Luxury doesn’t have to be grand, big, and new. The façade and large parts of the house were “upcycled” – re-used, so to say. Scrap wood from South Tyrolean farms was given a new role and new life. By the way, all our holiday apartments near Mühlbach bear the ClimateHouse Standard A energy efficiency certificate.
To keep you warm on cold days, we use sustainable district heat, i.e. heat obtained from wood and produced here in Vals. Surely you will be thirsty at times when enjoying your stay in our holiday apartments in Vals. Forget about bottled water. Drink what we locals drink. Fresh water from the tap. Mountain spring water of the highest quality which is neither treated nor prepared flows through all of our pipes. Pure luxury straight from nature.
Both in the construction phase and in the ongoing operation of our holiday apartments in Vals, we did and do without disposable plastic wherever possible. As you can see, there’s great attention to detail in our holiday apartments. Vals, South Tyrol, our beautiful region, and nature are close to our hearts and we want to keep them alive and protected.
